The Fleet Maintenance Division, led by Master Mechanic Robert Kelly, is responsible for the maintenance and repair of 162 Fire District vehicles. The fleet includes a wide range of apparatus, from small special event and staff vehicles to rescue trucks, pumpers, tankers, ladder trucks, and Special Operations units. It also features an Oshkosh Stryker 1500 ARFF (Airport Rescue and Firefighting) truck. Collectively, these vehicles traveled over 1.7 million miles in the past year.
In addition to vehicle maintenance, the division services 19 station standby generators, all small engines, and 19 Jaws of Life power units and tools. The Fleet Maintenance facility is equipped with four drive-through bays, a stationary 30,000-pound lift, eight mobile column lifts rated at 18,000 pounds each, a six-ton overhead crane, and two shop trucks for mobile repairs.
