Medical Information Programs
The St. Lucie County Fire District offers several programs designed to help first responders quickly access important medical information during an emergency. These programs allow residents to voluntarily provide critical information that may assist firefighters and paramedics in delivering faster, safer, and more effective care.
Community Connect
Secure Online Access for First Responders
Community Connect allows residents to securely and voluntarily share household-specific information that may assist emergency responders during an incident. Information such as household members with functional needs, pets in the home, gate or access information, and emergency contact information can help responders better serve residents during emergencies.
Participation is free, voluntary, and secure.

To participate:
- Complete the medical information form and place it inside the provided yellow envelope.
- Store the envelope in your vehicle's glove compartment.

To participate:
- Complete the medical information form.
- Print two copies and place them in an envelope labeled MEDICAL INFORMATION.
- Secure the envelope at eye level on your refrigerator door.
- Consider including a recent photograph.

Please email info@slcfd.org to request the Yellow Dot packet, or for more information call 772-621-3333.
ICE (In Case of Emergency) on Your Smartphone
Emergency Information Accessible from the Lock Screen
ICE, or "In Case of Emergency," information allows first responders to access important medical and emergency contact information from a locked smartphone.
iPhone
ICE information can be entered through the Health app, which is preinstalled on all Apple devices running iOS 8 or later.
Android
Most Android devices allow emergency information to be entered through the device's emergency information feature or displayed directly on the lock screen.
Residents are encouraged to ensure their emergency contacts, medical conditions, allergies, and other critical information remain current.
