Fleet Maintenance
The Fleet Maintenance Division is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and operational readiness of the St. Lucie County Fire District's fleet of more than 170 vehicles. The fleet includes fire engines, rescue units, ladder trucks, tankers, Special Operations apparatus, staff vehicles, and the District's Aircraft Rescue and Firefighting (ARFF) vehicle. Collectively, these vehicles travel more than 1.7 million miles annually in support of emergency response operations.
In addition to maintaining the District's fleet, the Division services standby generators, small engines, hydraulic rescue equipment, fire pumps, ladders, and other mission-critical equipment. Fleet Maintenance personnel perform routine inspections, preventive maintenance, testing, emergency repairs, and vehicle outfitting to ensure all apparatus and equipment remain safe, reliable, and ready to respond whenever needed.
Through proactive maintenance and comprehensive equipment management, the Fleet Maintenance Division plays a vital role in supporting the Fire District's ability to deliver immediate, skillful, and professional emergency services to the community.
