		PUBLIC INFORMATION OFFICER The Public Information Officer is responsible for all media relations. The position is tasked with promoting the Fire District through public relations. In addition to public presentations and printed materials, the office maintains the website. The position also produces a monthly employee newsletter. The Public Information Officer is not an officer with a rank. The PIO reports directly to the Fire Chief. Catherine Whitaker serves as PIO. She has a BA from George Washington University in Washington, D.C.  She earned her Masters in Public Administration from the University of Kansas.
