FIRE OPERATIONS
The Operations Division of the Fire District is where the bulk of
the services offered by the District are carried out. These services
include emergency medical services, Air Medical Services, fire
suppression, staffing, Honor Guard, Explorers Program, and the
Special Operations Team. In addition, it oversees the Training and
Safety Division, Communications Division and Fleet Maintenance.
The Operations Division has over 400 Firefighters assigned to its 15
stations located throughout the county, with two new stations
planned for 2008. The Fire District receives around 35,000 emergency
calls each year, with over 85% of these calls being medical
emergencies. |
