The Fire Prevention Bureau is a division of Staff Services and operates under the direction of the Fire Marshal, Deputy Chief Buddy Emerson.

The Fire Prevention Bureau operates under the direction of the Fire Marshal, Deputy Chief Buddy Emerson, and includes Plans Review, Fire Inspections, Fire Investigations, and Public Education.

Chief Emerson was named Fire Marshal of the Year for 2009.
