Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal Buddy Emerson has been with the SLCFD since 1992, and has served as Fire Marshal since 2005.  He has completed the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program. He is responsible for: "A" shift operations, Fire Prevention, Fire Inspections, Fire Investigations, Plans Review, and Buildings & Grounds.  This includes oversight of the building of new stations and the renovation of older stations.

Deputy Chief Brian Blizzard has over 23 years experience in the field of emergency services and has been with the Fire District since 1991. He has a Master’s Degree in Public Administration and a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management. He is currently a student of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program. Chief Blizzard is responsible for "C" shift Operations, Training and Safety Division, Air Rescue Flight Program and the Explorers Program.

Deputy Chief Kevin Herndon has been with the Fire District since May 1984. He currently holds a Bachelor's Degree in Organizational Management and a Master's Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. He is currently a student of the National Fire Academy's Executive Fire Officer (EFO) Program. In his current assignment, he is responsible for "B" shift Operations, Communications Division, Special Operations, Details, and the Honor Guard.
