Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal Buddy Emerson has been with the SLCFD since 1992, and has served as Fire Marshal since 2005.  He is responsible for: "A" shift operations, Fire Prevention, Fire Inspections, Fire Investigations, Plans Review, and Buildings & Grounds.  This includes oversight of the building of new stations and the renovation of older stations.

Deputy Chief Brian Blizzard has over 20 years experience in the field of emergency services and has been with the SLCFD since 1991. He currently holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Organizational Management and a Master’s Degree in Public Administration from Nova Southeastern University. In his current assignment, he is responsible for C shift Operations, Air Rescue Flight Program and the Explorers Program.

Deputy Chief Kevin Herndon, has been with the Fire District since May 1984. He most recently served as District Chief for the southern part of the county.  In his current assignment he is responsible for: "B" shift operations, Fire Operations, Fire Training/Safety, Special Operations, Staffing, Communications and Honor Guard.
