		DEPUTY CHIEFS Deputy Chief and Fire Marshal Buddy Emerson has been with the SLCFD since 1992, and has served as Fire Marshal since 2005.  He is responsible for: Fire Prevention, Fire Inspections, Fire Investigations, Plans Review, and Buildings & Grounds.  This includes oversight of the building of new stations and the renovation of older stations. Deputy Chief Brian Blizzard has been with the SLCFD since 1991, most recently serving as Battalion Chief responsible for Professional Standards and Conduct.  In his current assignment he is responsible for: EMS Operations, EMS Training/Safety, Flight Program, Fleet Maintenance, and Explorers.  Deputy Chief Tom Whitley has been with the SLCFD since 1982, most recently serving as head of Training and Safety.  In his current assignment he is responsible for: Information Technology (IT), Logistics, Public Education and Professional Standards. Deputy Chief Michael Bailey has been with the SLCFD since 1990, most recently serving as a Battalion Chief for the southern part of St. Lucie County.  In his current assignment he is responsible for: Fire Operations, Fire Training/Safety, Special Operations, Staffing, Communications and Honor Guard.
