The Logistics Department is responsible for the complete procurement of the Fire District; including the research, purchases, warehousing, and distributing of medical, office and janitorial supplies, uniforms and bunker gear.
Supervisor, John Wallace oversees the operations within this department and reports directly to a Division Chief. With the assistance of Marty Cooper (Supply Clerk), the Logistics Department is responsible for supplying all fire stations, the administration complex, and for outfitting over 400 personnel with uniforms and emergency equipment.
They maintain and track a fixed asset inventory of over 1170 items, as required by law for purchased items over $1000. Items no longer serviceable are removed from inventory with Fire Board approval and disposed of according to state statutes.
